Jess has gained producing and project management skills through successfully initiating, leading and realising projects.

Her experience of taking projects through from conceptualisation to full realisation has covered all aspects of fundraising, marketing and branding, partnership brokering and developing supporting systems and infra-structure. Often collaborating with others, Jess is able to effectively lead teams of people as well as work in a supporting role.

Jess produced and project managed two phases of SoundMoves (2013 & 2017) securing funding from Arts Council England to undertake R&D and performance performance devising with a cast of 7 artists.

As co-ordinator of Tap Rhythm Project since 2006, Jess obtained funding from Awards For All and Unltd Funding as well as numerous smaller commissions in order to deliver an extensive programme of participatory activities in communities in Nottingham and Manchester. This has included the producing and marketing of live music tap jams, guest workshops with international artists and delivering projects in schools and specific community groups.

Jess worked for Dance4 National Dance Agency delivering the Discover Dance project as a Project Manager overseeing the delivery of program of workshops delivered in schools by dance artists, developing an education pack and organising and promoting CPD events for dance education professionals.

As Founding Director and Chair Person of Tap Dance Research Network UK, Jess has played a pivotal role in developing the organisation’s vision, annual programme of events, membership offer, and achieving CIC registered company status.
